Hey Cuties!
So it’s night 4 in the #fivenightsoffrightseries, and I’m super excited to show this design to you guys! It’s a mummy design, and while mixing the white and brown to get the “dirty white” colour, it came out with a neat texture to add to the badge effect. I also used a glow-in-the-dark nail polish for the eyes, but I never seem to have luck with them. But if you happen to know or find a good one, use it on the eyes and mouth for an even creepier effect. Here it is!
Tools:
Nail Polish Colours : Black, Brown, “Dirty White”, Green
Nail Art Brush
Nail Art Dotter
Steps:
1.) Paint your nail “dirty white”. When I say “dirty white”, I mean a darker white colour. Mummy’s don’t keep their wrapping that white, so you can either buy a “dirty white”, or you can do what I did and mix white and a beige until I got a “dirty white” I liked.
2.) With your nail art brush and black nail polish, create the outlines of the wrappings by painting lines horizontally across your nail. You can refer to the picture below to see how to paint them.
3.) With your brown, paint the top of the black lines. You should still see the dirty white “bandages”.
4.) Using your green nail polish and nail art dotter, dot two green eyes. With your nail art brush, or continue with the nail dotter, paint a mouth, or a smile.
It’s a bit more of a technical design and more steps to it, but it’s totally worth it! If you find a glow-in-the-dark nail polish that actually works, post a pic on Instagram or Twitter. And don’t forget to share a pic if you try out this design or any of the other #fivenightsoffright designs.
Since tomorrow is the day this week’s designs have been leading up to, I may post the design early in the day for all of you going out tomorrow night. I also promise the last design won’t “suck”, so until next time, stay spooky!
