Back to School 2015: Doodle

Happy Monday Cuties!

It’s the last week of the Back-to-School series, and of course, I’ve saved the best for last! While this week’s design doesn’t have a specific class theme, it’s just a general school design. A Doodle! I’m pretty sure we’re all guilty of doodling while in class, so now’s the chance to doodle on your nails! Another super simple design!

Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: White, Light Blue, Black
     Nail Art Brush

Steps:
     1.) Paint your nail white.
2.) Paint a light blue line (or red/orange) vertically of-centre to the left.
3.) Paint light blue horizontal lines, crossing the vertical. Space the
           lines as you want to.
     4.) DOODLE!

So that’s it! I did two different "doodles"; one with all blue lines and a stick person, the other with a red vertical line (because some loose leaf has the red line) and a math equation. It doesn't matter what colour line you use, what you "doodle" or even if you choose to give it some colour.
I hope you enjoyed my designs as much as I enjoyed creating them. Stay posted for some cool and wacky designs coming up in October. Until next time, stay fabulous!

Suddenly Sunday: First Sunday of Fall (September 27th, 2015)

Hey Cuties!

I can’t believe how fast the week has gone! So tonight I’m playing catchup, as in, I need to catchup with my work so I can post this and tomorrow’s post. Since the first day of fall was Wednesday, and I didn’t post anything, I figured I’d post at little something something. Sparkling orange toe nails (how festive!) and white dashes, representing fall wind and #sweaterweather.

What I’m DrinkingMovie Night Green Tea (Davids Tea, Delicious!)
What I’m Doing…Trying to finish tomorrow’s post (it’s not going too well, BUT it will be there!)
The Colour of my ToesJinx (O.P.I.) with some white dashes

#manimonday is tomorrow and it’s the last day of my Back-to-School 2015 series. The design is pretty cool, and then next week we’ll get into some awesome designs for fall and celebrations ahead (HALLOWEEN!!!) Until tomorrow, stay fabulous!

Back to School 2015: Molecool

Hello Cuties!

It’s week three in the Back-to-School series! This one goes out to the nerds and the geeks that read my blog. The “Arts” classes were covered in the first two weeks, so it’s time for a switch up. This week’s design is a simple molecule, or as this week’s title says, Molecool, because science is pretty cool! I’m nowhere close to a scientist, so I had to look up the periodic table and try to remember my chemistry classes from high school to come up with the design. But I digress, so here we go!

Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: Red, Blue, Black
Nail Art Brush

Steps:
     1.) Paint your nail white.
2.) Paint a red dot/small circle in the middle of your nail.
3.) Draw three black lines, evenly spaced, going out from the red dot.
4.) Paint a blue dot, smaller than the red, at the end of each black line.
5.) Draw a black “B” in the middle of the red dot.

This nail design was a lot easier than chemistry itself! As I previously said, I’m certainly no chemist, so for all of YOU chemist or chemistry students out there, you can change the amount of lines, colours and names to be more accurate. Also, if you haven’t checked out my new project #suddenlysunday, check out the post below and my Twitter

And until next time, stay fabulous!

***UPDATE*** The photo is now added.

Suddenly Sunday: Prime Time Emmys (September 20th, 2015)

Hey Cuties! This is something new I’m trying just to add an extra post to the week, and who wouldn’t like an extra post in the week? I’ve created #SuddenlySunday as a relaxation project/get-ready-for-the-week-ahead project.
Every Sunday, over the next few weeks, I plan on spending the night painting my toes, and just overall relaxing and mentally preparing for the week ahead of me.
Hands are seen all of the time, unless they’re in gloves (winter’s coming…), but our feet are usually covered up, unless wearing sandals, or inside without socks on.
Where this project isn’t necessarily focused on nail art, or nail polish, or funky designs, it’s more about just taking care of ourselves at the beginning of the week, to be set up for a great start!

What I’m Drinking…White Zinfandel (Adult Show, Adult Drink)

What I’m Doing… Watching the 2015 Prime Time Emmys/ Red carpet

The Colour of my Toes…Big Apple Red Creme (N.Y.C.) with some black

At the end, I will hopefully add a photo to this post, as well as Twitter/Instagram.

This will hopefully be the longest post in the coming weeks, and I hope you’ll stay tuned to see what comes up! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for the #manicuremonday design! Have a great night!

Back to School 2015: The Glam Note

Hey Cuties!

Continuing on with our Back-to-School series for the month, this week is music class. Another simple design, this is one of my favourites (yes it’s biased!) because I’m a huge music nerd. I was a band geek all through grade school, so I would have totally rocked these nails! Also, as a huge music nerd, I realize it’s not technically a music note. It’s originally an eighth-note, until I put the stone on it. Then it became a eighth-note/half note (YAY for music theory)! Here are the steps:

Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: White and Black
     Nail Art Brush
     Gem Stone (White)
Steps:
     1.) Paint your nail white.
2.) Paint a vertical black line, a little right of the centre of your nail.
3.) Paint a small “swing curve” at the top of the line going right.
4.) Paint a black circle on the bottom left side of the line.
5.) Stick your white gem stone in the middle of the circle.

How easy is that?! As I previously said, it’s not technically a musical note, so I chose to call it The Glam Note. If you’re very particular about having a correct note on your nail, you can choose to do a half note (without the “swing curve” at the top), or you may choose to do an eighth-note by using a black gem instead of a white gem. I also chose to do a white background as a neutral colour, but as with all my designs, you may decide to do different colours.

Next week’s design will be even more nerdy! So until next time, stay Fabulous!

Back to School 2015: French Mani

Bonjour Cuties! It’s that time of year again! Over the next four Mondays, I’ll be showing off Back-to-School designs inspired by school courses. This week, it’s French class! I had to take French class for seven years in grade school, and I didn’t learn a single thing. But, back to the design. I’ve updated this oldie-but-a-goodie by adding colour to the tip and nail itself, instead of sticking with a white tip and neutral nail. As always, you don’t have to use the same colours as me. Commençons!

Tools:
- Nail Polish Colours: Dark Blue, Dark Magenta, Glitter Silver
- Thin Nail Art Brush

Steps:
1.) If you’re not comfortable with painting a tip on your nail, then you can use liners that you can get at your local drug store, or paint the line for it using the blue. Paint the entire tip of your nail dark blue.
2.) Paint the rest of your nail dark magenta.
*Don’t worry about painting a bit over the blue with magenta!*
3.) Using your glitter silver, draw a line to separate the blue and magenta.

Fin! Très facile, non? Okay, so maybe my French isn’t THAT bad. We’ll just say my nail art is better than my French. Until next week, stay fabulous!
