Snowy Tips

As I look out my windows, all I see are mountains of snow. I probably have at least a meter of snow, if not more, on my front lawn. So while more snow is coming down, I figured I create a nail design to set the mood. Originally, I wanted to call this design frosted tips, but I figured most of you would think of the early 2000s hair trend, so I changed it last minute.
It’s a simple French manicure layout, with a sparkly white and sparkly light blue used for the tips and main nail. I did two different designs, one with a straight line and one with a curve. I also did reverse colours so you could see what it would look like if you were to alternate them on your nails.

Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: Sparkly Light Blue, Sparkly White
Steps:
1.) Select what shape you want your tip to be; curved or straight. To create the shape, you can either you French tip stickers as shown in the picture, or using a nail brush, paint the outline using the tip colour or the base colour.
2.) Paint the base of your nail with whichever colour you’ve selected for it. Paint up to either the sticker or line you’ve drawn,
3.) You can take off the sticker once you’re happy with the base. Paint the tip of your nail with the other colour. If you accidentally paint over the other colour, just use your base colour to cover it up. If you aren’t steady with  the brush, and depending on how much you’ve painted over, you can use a nail art brush.

That’s it! Pretty simple right?! You don’t necessarily need to use these colours, it’s just a suggestion for a snowy theme. Feel free to try different colours and textures and share them on twitter, tumblr or instagram. Until next time!
