Hey Cuties!
Since it’s the last day of November, I’ve figured it wouldn’t be too terrible to start posting for the holiday season. I was originally going to call this Hypnotized, and used black and white instead of green and red, but as I already said, it’s the Christmas season! This is a fun and easy design and very versatile. You can try different shades of green and red, no glitter, all glitter, white glitter, green and white, red and white, green and red and white, etc. Let’s get started!
Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: Red, Glitter Red, Green, Glitter Green
Nail Art Brush
Steps:
1.) If you aren’t comfortable with drawing free-hand “waves”, as I’ll call the division of colours, start out with a very small wave. If you don’t like the curve, this is where you can fix it and start to make it thicker/the size you want. Another way you can go about the wave is to paint curved lines next to one-another until you get the thickness you like and then switch colours until your whole nail is done.
2.) Once you’ve outlined the waves, either with one colour (see photo), or two, colour them in with your regular colours.
3.) Using your glitter colours, paint over (as much as you’d like) each coloured wave. You can choose to paint red on red and green on green, or you may choose to paint green on red and red on green.
This is a great design to start of the holiday season! As I said before the instructions, there are many different ways to do this design to make it your own. You don’t even have to stick to these colours! It’s a great design for any time of year, just make sure to pick the right colours.
Since this time of year is quite busy for most people, I’ve chosen not do to a design each day leading up to Christmas. BUT you can expect a holiday design every Monday in December, as per usual, and the week of Christmas, I plan on posting a design each day. If you don’t have time to read the blog throughout the month, check out my Instagram for a glimpse at the design, and don’t forget to follow me on there too! Until next time, stay fabulous!
