Día de Los Muertos

¡Feliz Día De Los Muertos Cuties!

Today is Day of the Dead in Mexico, and for those of Mexican Heritage. Without getting into a huge history lesson, Day of the Dead is a holiday where Mexican’s celebrate and remember their dead and their ancestors. A popular symbol of the holiday is the sugar skull, which I don’t know about you, but I saw tons of on Halloween. Now matter where you search online for a sugar skull, you’re sure to find unique and extravagant ones done with makeup and nails.
My version of the sugar skull is quite simple, as I don’t really care to go crazy with hard and intense designs to show you all, but there’s also not an “exact way” of doing this. The best way to tell you guys how to do it is layer by layer. So instead of doing my usually list of tools and steps, this will be more of a guided nail design.

Tools:
Nail Polish: Bright Colours are suggested, but try to stick with the same                            colours.
     Nail Art Stickers
     Nail Art Jewels

Steps:
Eyes: I used flower stickers, because the eyes are usually flowers. You                     may choose to use flower stickers as well, or you can try painting                   on flowers.
Nose: The nose is rounded-edge triangle.
Mouth: The mouth will usually have teeth, or circles for teeth. Some                             have bumps on the bottom for the teeth, or you can copy me                           and use nail art jewels for teeth on top of a rectangle.
Face: Add a design at the forehead, whether it be a spider web, a spiral,                  or a bunch of dots and squiggles like I did.I also chose to colour                      in the chin some.

It’s a fun and easy design. Don’t overthink it! This is a very versatile design, and you have the freedom to design it however you want!¡Hasta la próxima, estancia fabulosa!
