Shark Week!

Hey Cuties!

I didn’t realize it was Shark Week last week until after I posted Beach Ballin’. So then I decided I was going to do a Shark Week design and post it Thursday. I got busy last week and sort of forgot about the design, so I didn’t do a design until Friday night. By that point, I figured I would wait until today to post. Sorry that was a bit of a rant, but it was worth the wait, even though Shark Week ended yesterday. So here’s a design for next year!

Tools:
- Nail Polish Colours: Ocean Ombre (Dark to Light Blues), Grey, Red, White, Black
- Nail Art Brush or Toothpick

Steps:
1.) Using your Ocean Ombre colours, paint two of your nails. (If this is your first time with ombre, check out my Textured Watermelon design)
2.) On your ring finger, paint a “shark fin” in the middle of your finger using your grey nail polish. Paint your pointer finger completely grey.
3.) Paint a wide vertical line half way up your pointer finger using your red nail polish.
4.) Outline the red rectangle with white (curve the corners), and paint small triangles on the inside to create the teeth of the shark.
5.) Using black, paint two small dots for eyes. Using your lightest blue colour, paint the outside of your pointer finger to give the shark a pointed head. You will probably have to re-dot the eyes, and if you’d like (I didn’t), paint a VERY small white dot in one eye (or both) to give the shark a twinkle in his eye, before he goes after his prey!

In my design, it looks like the shark is sticking out his tongue, but that’s just because I did a really bad job with the teeth. I choose to do three nails, but this can be extended to five easily by painting your pinkie and thumb Ocean Ombre. It’s a fun design and would have been perfect for THIS year’s Shark Week. I like doing designs that spread over multiply nails, so you may see some in the coming weeks, or months, that are designed for multiply nails. As always, enjoy and share a pic of you try any of my designs via Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr. See you soon!
