#frostweek: Dazzling Snowflake

Happy New Year Cuties!

I hope everybody had a fabulous New Year’s eve and day! I personally almost didn’t make it to midnight, but I had a quiet night in, so it didn’t really matter.
As promised, with a fresh start to a new year, and it being winter, here’s the start of my new series, Frost Week. If you’re new to this blog or how the series’ work, I will be posting a new design everyday, until Friday, this week, with the theme of frost/winter/snow. Basically all things frozen at this time of year.
For the series’ first design, it’s a simple snowflake. With the glittery top coat on it, I just can’t keep my eyes off it! It’s just so mesmerizing and has has a weird calming effect on me. And before I get too carried away, here are the steps:

Tools:
Nail Polish Colours: Pastel Purple, White, Glittery Clear Polish
     Nail Art Brush

Steps:
1.) Paint your whole nail purple.
2.) Using your nail art brush, paint 8 white “slices of pie”, minus the                  circle.
3.) Depending on how well your “slices” turned out, you could leave                    your nail as is. You may choose to add more by painting chevrons.                Add as many as you’d like on your “slices” until you’re happy with                the look of your snowflake.
4.) Now for the dazzling part of this snowflake. Add a coat of your                      glittery clear polish to your nail.

I personally love how this design looks, and how simple it is to do! If you don’t like the chevrons, you can come up with your own design for your own snowflake. Stay posted to the blog all week long for more winter-themed nailart. Also, if you’re on Instagram, Twitter or Vine, check out the posts using the hashtag #frostweek. Until tomorrow, stay fabulous!
